Tips for business use

  • Ideal video length: 3 minutes
  • Types of video to broadcast: how-to tutorials, webinars with industry experts, funny videos, interviews with local customers, reviews of local restaurants and community hot spots, or a daily business update
  • You don’t need high quality videos to be successful on Youtube but rather good content and frequent uploads.  Simply uploading a video made on your phone can help boost your brand and rankings on Google since users are 41% more likely to click a video over text content
  • Create a customized channel with a unique name, color, introduction video, and a link to your company web site.  This will help reinforce your brand identity
  • Include a call to action in your video to help guide the viewer to interact with your product or web site.  Examples of a call to action include: “visit our web site”, “post your comment below”, “follow my channel”, etc.
  • Put keywords about your company in the title, description, and tags.  This will make your video easier to find by customers
  • Add new videos daily so viewers will come back to your channel looking for new content
